Under Texas Property Tax Code, 1-d-1 Open Space Agricultural Appraisal, Qualified Open-Space Land can be assigned a reduced taxable value by the County Appraisal District. Qualifying land uses generally include raising livestock and crop production. Open Space Valuations can result in significant property tax reductions compared to the market value of land.
