Engineers Week

PE has many meanings—For those in grade school it could mean “physical education” or gym class, if you’re a doctor a “pulmonary embolism”, if you are in finance P/E means price-to-earnings ratio, but to us PE means Professional Engineer!

To commemorate National Engineers Week, Westward salutes our four registered Professional Engineers (l-r) Gary Nicholls, Andrea Kidd, Doug Millsaps and Curt Campbell. Our team of engineers provide complete civil and environmental engineering services to assist residential, commercial and industrial developers with site selection, facility design and permitting.

Professional Engineer is a designation that signifies the highest level of competency and responsibility in the engineering field. According to the National Society of Professional Engineers, prospective engineers must complete a four-year undergraduate degree, work under a Professional Engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from their state’s licensure board. Without Professional Engineers, our public health, safety and welfare would be at risk.

Whether your company needs a new industrial plant, is planning for a public water system, or looking to remediate a site, our engineers tackle tough challenges with knowledge, proven skills and creative solutions.
