Open Position: Project Engineer

 

Westward Environmental, Inc. (Westward) is seeking a Grade IV Civil Engineer (Project Engineer) for our Boerne, Texas office. Responsibilities will include assisting and directing a team of engineers and technicians with design and production of civil site plans, environmental compliance documentation, and report writing. Knowledge of TCEQ and local development regulations rules is a plus. Additional roles for candidate include assisting with design and project coordination, client interactions, site inspections and direction of junior staff.

Requirements:

  • BS Civil Engineering

  • 4+ years of experience

  • PE License or ability to obtain in Texas

  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D

  • Team player, self-starter, excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferences:

* Computer Skills: Hydraulic/Hydrologic modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, EPA SWMM etc.), Global Mapper, ArcGIS

Westward’s civil and design services include grading and site design, roadway and drainage design, stormwater management and design, floodplain analysis, utilities design and coordination, sidewalk and pavement design, construction administration, and surveying in support of engineering work. Additional associated services include regulatory permitting and plans preparation such as Water Pollution Abatement Plans (WPAPs), Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) Plans, Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) permitting, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC), and city and county development permitting. Westward routinely provides environmental, geologic, geotechnical engineering, biological, safety & health and natural resource management services to a wide variety of clients in the public and private sectors.
